Last Updated: August 1, 2025

Welcome to sup! By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Disclaimer of Liability, and our Code of Conduct. Please read them carefully.

Description of Service

sup (“the service”) is a platform that facilitates connections between individuals for the purpose of sharing meals at third-party venues, such as restaurants. We provide an interface for users to discover and join dinner tables organized by date, location, and other preferences.

Eligibility & Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the service. By creating an account or joining a table, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Disclaimer of Liability

sup (“the service”) acts solely as a connector of individuals and does not conduct background checks, endorse, supervise, or monitor participants or the venues where dinners take place.

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and assume all risks associated with meeting in person. This includes, but is not limited to, any risk of personal injury, property damage, emotional distress, or any other harm.

sup is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or incident resulting from interactions, communications, or events initiated through or connected to the service. You agree to exercise caution, good judgment, and take reasonable safety precautions in all interactions with other users.

Code of Conduct

Our goal is to foster a community of respect, kindness, and genuine connection. By using sup, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct at all times, including in digital communications and at in-person events.

All users are expected to:

  • Be Respectful: Treat all fellow participants, restaurant staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, regardless of background, identity, or beliefs.
  • Be Punctual: Arrive at the dinner on time. If you are running late, make a reasonable effort to communicate with the group if contact information has been shared.
  • Be Responsible: You are responsible for your own transportation, expenses (including your portion of the meal and tip), and personal safety.

The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension or a permanent ban from the service:

  • Harassment & Discrimination: Any form of harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other personal attribute will not be tolerated.
  • Unwanted Contact: Do not engage in unwanted physical contact, sexual advances, or persistent messaging after a user has indicated they are not interested.
  • Illegal Activities: Do not engage in or promote any illegal activities during a sup event.
  • Commercial Solicitation: Do not use the service to sell products, recruit for other organizations, or for any other commercial purposes.
  • Misrepresentation: Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

Additional Terms

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless sup, its owners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your interactions with other users.

Suspension & Termination: sup reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any user from the service at our sole discretion, without notice, for any violation of these terms or for any other reason. The 36-hour lock-in policy is a core component of the service; failure to attend a dinner after the lock-in period will result in a temporary suspension as outlined in the user interface.

Changes to Terms: We may modify these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
